Media Veteran appointed Chairman for Singapore Media Awards 2007
The Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Singapore (4As) announced the appointment of Gan Boon Guan, Managing Director of OMD Singapore, as Chairman for the 2007 Singapore Media Awards (SMA).
Gan, as he is known to the industry, has tremendous experience in both the local and international media scene having worked on clients in wide spectrum of categories that includes FMCG, services and industrial products and services.
Gan who has been serving actively in the 4As media committee, was recently elected 2 nd Vice-President of the 4As Executive Committee.
“SMA is a good platform to raise the profile and regional standing of Singapore’s advertising and media sector and I’m eager to continue working with the 4As in establishing SMA as the event for the industry”, said Gan.
Launched in 2005 to give recognition and celebrate the importance of outstanding media thinking and strategizing behind highly successful advertising campaigns, SMA will return this year in September.
Last year, SMA received a 38% increase in the number of entries, when compared to the previous show over a 12-month period. In a qualification period of just 12 months, the number of entries reached 154.
