Singapore , 8 July 2007 - Encouraged by the enthusiastic response over the past 6 years, The Crowbars turn festive this year with a series of new and exciting programmes. It will bring our young creative showcase to a new level with the launch of the Breaking In workshop, providing opportunities for students to be mentored under prominent creative figures.

The workshop will cover 4 major disciplines – Advertising, Design, Interactive and Film. It will enable creative students to gather critical lessons and guidance from these creative leaders, while working on a live brief. This aids them in building their capabilities and realising their potential.

Advertising mentors will include Godmother's Linda Locke, JWT Singapore's Tay Guan Hin and Ali Shabaz, Bates Singapore 's Robert Gaxiola, BBDO Singapore's Farrokh Madon and Batey Singapore 's Ng Tian It and BBDO Malaysia's Mun Tuck Wai.

Heading the Design, Film and Interactive workshops are Chris Lee of Asylum, Desmond Tan of Salt Films and Benjy Choo of Kilo Studios, respectively.

“The Breaking In workshop will encourage students to break out of their mould to create break through ads, assimilating them into the industry by giving them real-life experience through a live brief,” says Goh Wee Kim, Co-chairman of Crowbar Awards 2007.

The Advertising workshops will be led by Linda Locke and Robert Gaxiola and a lecture will be presented to further fuel students' creative thinking.
